A Few More Frames of Rollei IR400
I was gonna skip today and my wife called me out. So here I am, trying to make up a post. Oh the joy of having a stickler wife!
It’s been raining cats and dogs since last night, and the weather does not look promising for the Easter weekend. It makes me miss sunny days, a luxury for Dublin. This is a terrible segue to the film at hand, Rollei IR400, which was shot in sunny weathers. Yesterday, I posted a few shots from the street. I thought I’d post a few more today. The film is very grainy for ISO400, but not annoyingly so. Photos!
I came out of a hippie coffee shop and saw this scene. It did took me some effort to take this photo having to juggle my camera and a coffee cup. But the contrast is a nice surprise. It would’ve made an interesting colour photo, too because the wheels of the bike on the left are bright yellow.
This photo will probably be boring without the red filter. Maybe it’s still boring. I don’t know.
I’ve been shooting a lot of windows lately. The layers of reflection are intriguing to me, especially when there’s another window on the other end.
Same building from a different angle.
According to the internet, this is the oldest pedestrian bridge over Liffey, erected in 1816. Apparently people used to be charged half a penny for using the bridge, hence the nickname.
Today, the bridge is free.
There it is! Enjoy your Easter weekend, or just weekend!

Loving these! The contrast is wild, gives a kind of Hitchcock/Twilight Zone vibe to the photos and with the setting, it’s kinda perfect!
These are great. Love the pronounced grain that's being brought out in the shots. Cheers mate!
