Dear Vicky: Film Noir
I Hate Mondays! Who doesn’t?
I only ran 100km in the month of June, which included a full marathon on June 1. So I only ran 58km in 29 days. Two kilometres per day. That’s a new low.
I didn’t have my movie night last week. There were too many choices and I couldn’t decide, but I am gonna try to catch a movie tomorrow. You will hear about it if I am successful.
Speaking of movies, I am going back to my Vicky Noir set. It’s been a while. Here are five photos from the streets of Hong Kong during the pandemic.
Looking at these photos I shot during the pandemic, I do not miss those days. Wearing a mask in Hong Kong’s summer was not fun. It did not help when the Hong Kong government decided to impose a harsher mask mandate in the month of August, where people exercising outdoors had to mask, too. One night, I ran 10 miles wearing a mask in steaming temperatures and 80% humidity. At the end of the run I wanted to go to hell, just to cool off.
During the pandemic, masked but shirtless became a thing. I wish it hadn’t.
I kinda like the mirror image of the guy and the traffic light.
This is it! Thank you all for visiting my little corner of the internet. See you soon!

I confess, this won't be on my list of favorites. Memories of the heat, the masks, the arguments on the elevator with those who didn't wear masks
(not me, I refused to be the mask police), no kids in the schools, the loneliness, etc.
Thanks.
