Dear Vicky: More Portra 500
Hello, everyone!
I’ve had this cold for two weeks now, so that was fun. How’s your week so far?
Last week, I went to the national gallery to see the Picasso exhibition. The ticket cost 15 euros, and the exhibition was very meh. It was too small to justify a 15 euro price tag. I got to the end within 15 minutes, and I read all the literature on the wall. Is that inflation? And the whole experience is a little bizarre. I get to the exhibition hall with my ticket purchased online. There is a line about 10 people waiting at the ticket counter minded by one lady. As I walk towards the entrance, I am secretly happy that I’ve had my ticket. I don’t have to wait in that line, I think to myself. Then the ticket lady barks at me to get in line. But in line for what, I’ve got my ticket already. And I tell her so. She seems surprised that I don’t understand how ticketing works, and tells me that I have to wait in line for her to check my ticket. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I had to pay a processing fee to get my ticket online, and I got the QR code delivered to my email address. I had to wait in the ticket buyer line even though I already had my ticket. Am I the only one to whom this doesn’t sound right? And the ticket price is a total rip-off. End of rant.
I did shoot the better part of a roll of film in the museum, so the visit was not a total bummer. Anyway, on to today’s photos.
Hong Kong on Portra.
Centre Street, the Kowloon Peninsula in the background.
Buildings and bamboo scaffoldings.
Building and street lamp, and bamboo scaffoldings.
Tyres and graffiti.
Not sure why, but a parking metre.
A selfie with the tram.
Can’t decide which of these ad slogans I love more: “Don’t just be rich. Be wealthy” or “Live Every Moment,” coz I am only living a selected inconsecutive moments being neither rich nor wealthy.
Fruit stall.
Bus terminal with an orange buoy.
More trams.
That’s it for today! Thanks for visiting me for the rant. And I’ll see you soon! Have a good weekend!

Gorgeous images!! I'm sorry about the museum visit but these are just lovely.
Seeing your vision of Hong Kong, one that I feel like I know well by now, but seeing it in Portra colors is awesome. A good switch up!
