Dear Vicky: Moving Around
Hello, everyone!
We had friends visiting us over the weekend, who we hadn’t seen since the pandemic. Six years! It’s crazy how the pandemic altered time, or at least our perception of time. It’s good catching up with friends. If you haven’t tried it, I recommend it highly.
I haven’t got much time taking photos in the past few days. So here’s a few from moving around the city. Now that I’m a visitor, I am noticing things I usually ignore, which is fun, and a little sad. Anyway, I will not bore you with an essay.
Trying to squeeze one more frame out of the roll makes this a little cyberpunky.
The other end of the squeeze.
The two swimsuit mannequins do not look out of place here. Weird?
Tai Yuen Street, my old neighbourhood. The ugly orange building in the background is where my first apartment in Hong Kong is. The faint outline of a swirly building in the mountains is one of hong kong’s most expensive apartment buildings. If you have a couple of hundred million dollars lying around, give it a try.
You can’t avoid skyscrapers even when you look down.
Some Hong Kong layers.
Bamboo scaffolding.
Bamboo scaffolding in reflection.
Compression.
King’s Road.
That’s it for today. Thanks for visiting me. See you again soon.

Love that “layers” shot!
Six years is a long time! And from seeing your pics it means that you will have seen the new office buildings around Admiralty. I do love how Hong Kong incorporates walkways between buildings. Hope you're having fun.
