Dear Vicky: The Buddha Will See You Now
I’m not superstitious, but I’m a little stitious. —Michael Scott
In Hong Kong, everything that can be a business is a business. And superstition is a huge business. From fengshui to fortune telling to nemesis beating-topic for another post-, whatever superstition you have, you’d find it in Hong Kong.
Today’s post is about a hotspot for the believers. Whether or not they are true believers is up for debate, but I tend to think they are not. The place is called Wong Tai Sin temple, the most popular among all places of worship, or asking a higher being for favours.
People from near and far go there to ask for stuff, money, marriage, or health, etc. In and around the temple, you’d find incense sellers, fortune tellers, and vegetarian restaurants. The business ecosystem is to meet all your superstitious needs.
Anyway, I went there with a friend on a weekday afternoon. And it was busy. Here’s the photos.
Not sure how this one works, but hey…
Taking care of business.

That’s it for today. Thanks for visiting my little corner. See you soon!

Love it! A very nice set of shots. I could look at this type of work all day!
I'm a believer in you.
These photos capture a lot of energy.
You will scoff, but I will tell you anyway.
I read tarot cards. Several times they were people I didn't know. I literally saw visions above their cards and told them what I saw. And I was right 2 out of 3 times that I actually saw the visions.
One of ŧhem was particularly upsetting. After that I put them away.
