Dear Vicky: The Triplets

Hello again!

Who’s asked for all the Avatar sequels? I want names! That was just one of the many random thoughts that popped in my head every day.

During my Hong Kong trip, I wanted to photograph neon signs, some of which I’ve already posted. Today’s photos are three angles of one subject from Mongkok, which had been on my list for a long time. Mongkok, of course, is the Hong Kong of Hong Kong, which no one has called it ever. There’s so much there to photograph, and this mini contact sheet will be the appetiser before the main course.

八珍 is the brand name, which translates to Eight Jewels; 食品 literally translates to food products. As you can see, the character 食(food) has gone dark. However, I got the bamboo scaffolding, and I’m happy with the trade-off.
