Dear Vicky: Welcome to the Jungle
Hello y’all! Hope your weekend was good.
I had a funny couple of days. I had a Zoom job interview on Thursday. It was funny. It wasn’t a job I was interested in the first place. But an acquaintance set me up so I had to give it a go. There was a phone interview with an HR person prior to the Zoom call. On the phone call, I was read the entire job description, and went through all the performative questions, which I answered. And then two weeks later, I was told there’d be a Zoom interview. To prepare for the Zoom interview, I went through my closet and found an Oxford shirt because I didn’t think it was appropriate to attend the interview in the hoodie I had on that day. My interviewer, clearly didn’t share my concerns. He wore a black sports t-shirt. It wasn’t even casual Friday for cry out loud. He kicked off the interview by reading the job description verbatim AGAIN. He asked all the questions like he memorised them from a script he got 10 minutes before the interview. He didn’t know where I was based. It was all very off-putting to say the least. Today, I got the good news that my application was unsuccessful. That was that. If you have some schadenfreude, you can thank me later.
Onto today’s topic. We are going back to Hong Kong. Hong Kong’s got a lot of buildings, and looking at them can be an another type of interesting experience. Here’s a few of them.
Fengshui is important in Hong Kong

That’s it for today. Thanks for visiting me today! Have a lovely week ahead! Till next time!

Terrific and somehow nostalgic for me. Very nicely done!
This is like a guessing game for me! I want to say the image of the cemetery is Pok Fu Lam…?
