Dublin: Around Town
Hello, everyone!
How’s your Monday?
So, it’s a clear day out. I am walking around, camera around my neck. I come upon these twin trees, their bare branches zigzagging upward, glowing in silver against the darkened sky. It draws me in like a moth into a flame. I raise the viewfinder of my camera up over my eye, and there it is, a perfect composition inside the frame lines. I lower the camera and get out my light metre because I want to get the perfect exposure. F8 at 1/125s. I put away my light metre with one hand and adjust my camera settings with the other. Then I raise my camera again, moving centimetres back and forth to get the framing right, and then my alarm clock goes off. It’s 7:23 Monday morning. I turn off the alarm and close my eyes, but the trees are no longer there. I’ve missed my dream shot. Had I set my alarm to 7:30 like a normal person, I would’ve had the shot, at least in…. It doesn’t matter.
Today, I am posting photos I got around Dublin, some on film from February, and some more recent 0s and 1s

I’ve never once dreamed of being behind the camera. I do hate that you missed your “dream” shot. But these real ones are fantastic. Im partial to your first through a window and light play.
Beautiful set of images there, Li.
