Dublin on Ilford HP5+
And the Mess of Dealing with Film
I just got a roll of HP5+@1600 back, and I messed up the exposure. I think I accidentally changed ev settings on my light metre and kept the exposure compensation at -2 stops. I remember second guessing some of the readings when I shot the roll, but didn’t really bother checking the light metre settings. So that was fun. I had to put in a lot of editing to try and salvage the photos. Some of them came up fine, and some were goners. My takeaway is that I should trust my instincts more.
Anyway, I am gonna post a few photos from the roll, some mundane shots around town. If they don’t look good, you know who to blame. Me.
Shot this on my way to see the play Dr. Strangelove. It was a fun night. The photo isn’t really good or special, but I don’t get to shoot a lot at night, so I include it here.
First time I’d seen harp busking. There’s another busker who trolleys his grand piano every time. I admire such dedication.
The light leak is annoying, or maybe the film has expired.
I’m gonna stop here now. Thank you! Have a good weekend!
