Food Places in Japan
I like Japan for many reasons, and food is one of them. Not only does Japan makes great food, it’s restaurants and other food places look pleasing, too. Some flamboyant; some minimalist. Signs and flyers were written in beautiful kanji. Coming from a country that shares the same calligraphy culture as the Japanese, I always consider it a shame that the modern Chinese logogram -not sure if this is the right word- has become so ugly, a betrayal to its artistic history. Many of the best studies on ancient Chinese calligraphy were done by the Japanese. I’ve read stories of Japanese going into rural China to search for stones used to line wells or as pig troughs. Those stones had some of China’s best calligraphy works carved into them. Anyway.
To sum up, I like Japanese food, and its restaurants and yatais(mobile food stall,) and everything in between. When you travel to Japan with a camera, you’ve gotta take photos of these places. The following are a few photos, and there might be more in the future.
I’m gonna stop here now. Let me know if you have food recommendations in Japan or elsewhere. Ta!

Like these, especially
ANOTHER FOOD STALL.
So much fit in this picture.
Wonderful shots! Love the light and shadows on the chicken restaurant.
