From Hong Kong with Love
Happy Valentine’s!
Since it’s already 14th February in Hong Kong, happy Valentine’s to you all!
In this strange time, love is more important than ever. And it should be celebrated.
For my 2014 New Year’s resolution, I decided to do a daily photo challenge. I was to take a photo every day and posted it on Facebook, a platform I am no longer on. At the beginning, I wasn’t sure what my subject should be, so I was taking random photos for a while. But soon I settled on square black and white street photos with humans in them. The photos were shot on my iPhone> I was too lazy to carry my 5D Mark II every day at the time. I kept it going for four years. During these four years, I learnt a lot about seeing things and had a lot of fun. There was many a night, when I got out of my gym 20-30 minutes before midnight, and I still hadn’t shot a photo for the day. Walking the streets of Causeway Bay, frantically looking for a subject was always a favourite part of the day. And Hong Kong always delivered. I’m not saying the photos are good, but that’s on me, not Hong Kong.
Here’s a few photos from that period to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

There it is! Happy Valentine’s to all, and to all, a good night!
