Halfsies
I’ve been planning a post about the halfsie frames at the top of the film roll for a while now. And today, I saw a note from Lloyd Hunt about halfsies and decided to finally do it.
Halfsies are throwaways. You either point your camera at a random angle, press the shutter, and advance, or you shoot what you want to shoot and then shoot another frame just to be safe. But I’ve grown to really like these little fellas and consider them one of the joys of shooting film. You definitely won’t get them shooting digital, unless you got data corruption on your card, which is a disaster I won’t wish on anyone. I might one day print these halfsies and find a good use of them.
Here are a few colour ones.
There it is! More halfsies are coming. See ya!

Halfsies are so much fun. Not too serious. As you said, you usually make the insurance photograph, but given that you know they will be halfsies, they are spontaneous and great fun. I am particularly drawn to you half high-rise and the Vic Harbour junk. Really nice post!
Love them! Thankyou
