I Don't Belong Here
An escalator can never break. It can only become stairs. There’ll never be “Escalator temporarily out of order” sign. Only an “escalator temporarily stairs” Sorry for the convenience. —Mitch Hedberg
When an escalator breaks, nothing bad will happen. It could only good happen.
This is the kind of things that keep me from good schools.
If you’ve been following my substack for a while-first of all, thanks- you’ll know I like taking photos of random, very random things. And today’s post is about just that. The title: I Don’t Belong Here is not just how I feel constantly wherever I am, but also the theme of today’s photos.
I was walking around the city today and I saw two things that had no business being where they were. Here, you be the judge.
It’s a perfectly looking apple.
This banana is about 10 metres away from the apple. At this point, I started to think there might be a conspiracy going on.
I’ll admit that this door does look it’s been out of commission for a while. But still…
I know it’s a dumb pun, but I can’t help it.
.As a watch lover, I do hope the owner of the watch has got it back.
And I am gonna close with this following photo from my old neighbourhood in Kennedy Town, Hong Kong
That’s it for today. Thanks for coming by. Until next time!

Excellent photos and I enjoyed the theme. Belonging certainly becomes subjective.
I’m a fan of images of things that are out of place. That instantly provoke thoughtful banter about the story behind or what it means. I also take them, like yesterday I noticed a discarded cucumber in a bush. A passerby asked why I was taking a photo of it. “Because it’s there”, I replied. Also, puns fit titles for photos perfectly. Keep them coming!!!
