I Went for A Walk
Hello! Hello! Hello! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
The Emerald Isle is known for many things, but never good weather. Now that we are marching at full speed into winter, fine days are even harder to come by. Last Friday was one of those rare fine days, so I decided to take a walk.
I set out with my camera. The sky is blue, the air crisp. I wanted to check out some new places in the neighbourhood. My first stop was a park I’d never been to. It was only a 20 minutes’ walk from my house. It was a lovely space, with a football pitch, two tennis courts, a basketball court, exercise equipment, and a playground for children. Over the fence in a corner, some horses were sunbathing. I threw on a red filter and took a few photos in the park.
The park is close to my daily crèche route, next to some farm fields. On my drive to the crèche I could see bales of hay lying around. I like the visuals of these big rolls of hay on an open field. Two years ago I went into a field and shot around two dozen frames of hay rolls only to find out later that the film was stuck in my camera, and I didn’t get anything. This time around, I got a digital camera and two SD cards. I followed a narrow path through a grassy field outside the park, and it led me to the field I saw every day. And I got my hay shots. The photos were not great. I didn’t have enough bales to work with. But it’s better than nothing.
Don’t they look peaceful?
And that’s it for today. I will continue my search for the perfect hay shots. Thank you for coming along on my walk. Till we meet again!

Great job!!
Hay bales always make an interesting shot. These are perfect as well: no sagging, no flattening.
