Paris Sans Humans on Portra 400
My last post was so traumatising that I am still shell shocked, which is why I did not post anything yesterday. That’s a lie. I was being lazy after my nightly run. I am back today to post more photos from the Paris trip.
Paris is one of the most hyped up cities in the world. Before my trip, I was worried that it wasn’t gonna live up to its reputation. I have to say, Paris turned out pretty well. On day one, I turned the corner from my AirBnB apartment, and saw an 8mm film scanner sitting in a store window. I knew then and there, Paris is my kind of town. The city is gorgeous; the people well dressed. Walking around, I felt like a rag doll. It became clear to me fairly soon why so many authors and artists flock to Paris. The city is a living, breathing piece of art.
I am rambling again. Portra 400 was the first roll of colour film I shot in Paris, after I finished the half roll of P30. I hadn’t shot Portra in at least two years. It is too damn expensive. But here’s some photos from the roll.
Did I mention Paris was sexy?
Restaurant. Every city on earth needs more outdoor dining.
I shot this right before my shopping spree… of a Leica Handbook about its past products. Couldn’t afford any hardware or glasses.
I don’t know why but when I see a bike, I have to take a photo.
A gallery dog in Rive Gauche. It’s got that grumpy artist’s look.
Les garçons barbiers. And the Starbucks reflection. Starbucks, ugh!
I’ve been thinking maybe staying in Paris longer can make me better at taking photos. Maybe!
Thanks for reading! Enjoy your weekend!

The dog is attached to something and probably can't move. I'd be grumpy too. Doggy also looks like it's crying for help. Nice sexy pic. Congrats! no grids :)
Ha that dog does have a grumpy artist's look about it.
