Photo Dump: Ilford Ortho Plus 80
Hello! Hello! Hello!
I hope everyone had a good weekend. I did nothing over the weekend, but I was very busy for some reason.
Last week, I saw a guy doing street photography in downtown Dublin with a Hasselblad 907X. He was just holding that piece of equipment like a torch, shooting and walking. Takes a special kind of guy, don’t you think?
It’s been a while since my last photo dump. Luckily, I recently found a forgotten roll of Ilford Ortho 80 in my drawer, and sent it for development. It was shot two years ago. The result came back, well, kinda meh. But I am gonna post a few of them here.
I still remember struggling with the framing standing in front of this sprawling thing, and I ended up framing the shot badly. But I like the tone of it.
Not a great shot, but a shot nonetheless.
Travelling by train in Ireland and the UK is not something I enjoy. And I love trains. There are many moments of “But why?”
That is one good looking rooster
And there it is! I hope you all have a decent week ahead of you. Don’t forget to check back for more of my rambling and mehs. See you soon!

Those are pretty grainy and very contrasty (which is to be expected from an 'Ortho' film) .! I don't know if that's the film itself or the way of developing, but I must say some photos look quite good that way, like the train station, where the grain adds to the urban nature of the subject an how you shot it, in the first photo I think the extreme contrast distracts from the tree's branches that seem to be the subject. My first impression was that there was snow on the branches. I like the cabin, the scooter in front of the building and the steps leading to the house as well, so I can say I do like the photos, but the film (or its developing) not so much.
The scooter is great. Looks like a church, but has a Guinness sign on it! Love it. Black gold. It is a beautiful thing. Nice set of photographs.
