Pompidou Centre on P30
Substack Starts to Feel Like Work
I was planning to post this last night after skipping Sunday- not that anybody should care,- but I ended up watching Moonrise Kingdom. It was a great movie. I’ve always admired Mr. Anderson’s ability to create fictional worlds while telling stories with interesting visuals. His use of colour palettes and obsession with symmetry are almost as funny as the stories. He shoots his movies on film, which is another thing I appreciate.
After the movie though, I felt bad for not having time to post on Substack, because of my work ethic. Not really! So here’s a makeup post.
This is, again, about Paris. We stayed near Pompidou Centre, and it was the first place we visited the day after our arrival. It’s another beautiful space. Unfortunately, most of the centre shut down. We only got to visit the ground, 1st, and 6th floor. The escalator ride with a bird eye view of Paris was sublime. My toddler had fun in the playpen on the first floor. While he was running around, I got to snap a few photos.
There it is! Thanks for coming along! See ya!

Yes it's really annoying that they closed. We normally go a few times a year (it's 500km from home for us). No doubt the exhibitions will be moved somewhere else.
Very, very nice! It will be a while until you can do that again...
