Sur la Seine
On A New Film Stock
It was our last full day in Paris, and I was running out of film. I went to a local film store and picked up a roll of Portra 800, and a roll of Nation Photo 400 BW, their own branded film. I knew nothing about the stock, and I was feeling adventurous. I was after all in Paris.
We spent the afternoon at Musée d’Orsay. I like museum spaces, but Orsay is special. Maybe because it was a train station in the 1800s and I like trains. Sitting in the cafe behind one of its famed clocks is a cool experience. Before we left, I loaded the black and white film in my camera. As we walked along the Seine back to our apartment, the sun began to set behind us. I couldn’t expect a better walk. I decided to shoot some street photos. The film came out quite flat, which gave me more room for editing. Here’s a few shots from the walk.
What’s not in the shot was that the book is on psychology, a fun complement to the skateboard.
That’s it! Thanks for coming along for the walk. I hope you’ve had as much fun as I did. See you soon!

Love these photos, exactly the type I enjoy looking at! Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Sunset and Silhouette are very nice. Paris feels very quiet in these. Is it?
Thanks!
