Some days your the bug and others you're the windscreen! Thankfully, no lasting harm done. Whatever your new gear is, you seem to be getting the hang of it quickly.
Thanks, Joe! The inner child of mine prefers anticipating the delivery for some reason. I bought mine in store. There's for some reason less of a thrill. Good luck with your new gear!
Freak accidents happen and sometimes some good comes out of it...like photos in and around museums with a new piece of gear (a lens? a camera bag? "there'd be nothing ground breaking") but with even more prosaic captions, like "light on stairs" and "painting and chair" (although further on in the post, you actually added a 'personal' touch with "gallery of the unsettling"). It's only a matter of time before you will replace all of your captions with "photo" or quit using them altogether, which comes down to the same thing. No, seriously, I like your "wood carving and man" and "paintings and people" a lot. Plenty of good shots with your trademark dark (but very human) touch!
Thanks, Vincent. It was a fun week. It's a new lens. A 50. I was just testing the new one to see if it could handle my randomness. The museum was the place where I saw the Picasso exhibit, and I really like the spaces there. Will definitely go back and see what I could get with the new toy.
You know you are alive, when imaginary people pass through trouble to get to the real world, where the making of photographs happens, really happens, for real! 😁👍
Sometimes things have to go a bit wrong to transition to a bit of right I suppose. Nice set of images Li. Museums in iffy weather times are always inviting.
If it helps, something that didn’t happen to me at all was slamming a finger in the heavy front door knowing full well that a finger was in the door frame of the now slamming shut door. How absolutely embarrassing for whoever that would have happened to.
For someone who had no incidents at all in a 48 hour span, you took some very nice photographs.

Thanks, Paul. I already see the funny side of these unfortunate incidents.
Awesome photos awesome story keep up the great work. I’m expecting some new gear as well. Should be here by Tuesday or Thursday.

Cool shots but YOWCH for the outset of your post.
Thanks! I was cursing everything after the first one, and come the second one, I was like: sure, why not?

Thanks, Søren! Photography is such a human thing, I don't think it could ever be replaced by the artificial whatever.
so what is the new gear?
A 50.

Thanks, George! Any indoor space here in Ireland is inviting given how much it rains.
