I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss these. Some have something worth saving to make it better. The backlit leaves shot, for instance, could become a different image with a tighter crop and more contrast on the shadows. But beyond the edit, I’d be curious what you were actually trying to say about solstice light.
Thanks, Sylvie! Looking at the scans, I do think some could've been framed differently. As for the idea of shooting solstice lights, I like the intensity of the summer solstice lights. It makes the surroundings feel quiet. The winter solstice is a bit of a challenge here. The last light is around 4pm, and it's usually rainy, and oftentimes, I get nothing. It's like chasing the snow leopard.
I don't think the Tangerine Toddler-in-Chief's call to Dr Evil helped the USA's football team one little bit - but it does show the scale of corrupt thought and actions of both parties.
Thank you, Paul! They surely made the defeat more embarrassing. The decent thing for the team to do would've been to bench Balogun, but apparently the USMNT had different ideas.
Thanks, Hanz! Shooting solstice lights has long been a habit of mine. There's definitely some romanticising going on in my head. Some of these came out more than others.
These were absolutely beautiful! The clarity was amazing. The first one is the only other picture I would consider using as my homepage. I felt settled
looking at it and i am not settled. Lol. Thanks for this batch.

The space in the "Pocket of light" photo looks like a portal to another realm!
Thank you, Jeremy! I like that one, too, and I almost caught a squirrel in the frame too.
Solstice light is never boring - especially in a peaceful woodland! Lovely rich colours too!
Thank you, Lin! I enjoyed the process, and wish I had more time there. Summer solstice lights are really fun!
Very nice photos, Li Chen.

If I'd been Podgy-tino, I wouldn't have "benched" him, I'd have left him out of the match squad altogether and risked losing my job.
There is a bit of peace in the solstice lights. Love how this all came out man. Excellent greens... fitting to the location.

expectations are a bridge to disappointment.

Thank you, Linda! These just turned out not quite as I expected.
